Buzzlife New Year's Eve
This year, we are trying to have Rob AO125 nominated to spin for New Year's Eve @ Cubik, so please email buzzlife with the infomation below and vote for him!
By popular demand Buzzlife is letting YOU pick the local DJs that will play at Cubik on New Years Eve. There will be 14 slots, 8 in the Front Room and 6 in the Rubik Room. Each slot will be for 1 hour.
The nomination process starts NOW. Simply send an email to
. The subject line should contain the name of the DJ you
are nominating. Please submit ONE nomination only, duplicates will be
deleted. The call for nominations ends on Nov 10th. The 35 DJs with the
most nominations will be posted on the message board on Nov 11th. Stay

Funky Alternatives: Where our funk don't stink!
It appears as though Funky Alternatives is no more.
Our initial plan was to play four more weeks (three now) and close things
out properly... Speed Demon and Chris Bulla last week, Baggadonuts and Tim
Resistor this week and next week as an all female dj night featuring Jen Lasher,
Sylkie, and Moody Moore - with the last week being a residents night
featuring a funky disco tag set between Cliff and myself.
The club however, had a different idea whereby they decided to not open last
week without telling us until literally two hours before we were supposed to
open doors. We contacted mgmt in an attempt to get this ironed out so we
could play out the final three nights but they have not contacted us back -
so we can only assume that they have decided to terminate things without
further discussion.
We personally would like to thank everyone who came to Funky Alternatives
and/or spun there for us as guest djs. You made the night what it was and we
thank you for it. We'll be sure to post about future weekly or monthly
events, one off's, and of course new mixes for download.
